To maintain freshness, chocolate should be kept in a cool, dry place away from light and foreign odours.

If the storage temperature exceeds 24°C, some of the cocoa butter may appear on the surface, known as fat bloom.
The chocolate will still, however, will be fine to eat.
During the summer, chocolate can be stored in the refrigerator, but before you do, pack them in an airtight container or plastic bag.
When taking the chocolate out of the fridge though, it might attract condensation, so leave them sitting out of the fridge for an hour or so before removing them from container or bag.
